Recreation is important for the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development of children. Recreation develops life skills for children and communication skills among peers.
We believe both academic and character education are important in child development. We believe strong character development is the proper foundation for lifelong learning.
Arts education is an important component of any child's development because it teaches teamwork, analytic and creative skills. Art can help children work out frustrations in their lives by offering a healthy, expressive outlet.
Helping children to develop leadership skills instills confidence, and helps them to solve problems creatively. Leadership gives children opportunity to show responsibility.
R.E.A.L. Hope Youth Center is a nonprofit, after-school enrichment program in Paris, Tennessee. R.E.A.L. stands for Recreation, Education, Arts, and Leadership. We have identified these critical areas of child development as the primary focus of all R.E.A.L. Hope programs. Our programs are for students in 1st through 8th grade. In addition to providing homework and academic assistance, we also provide recreation, arts & crafts, life skills classes, and a variety of special speaker sessions to educate students regarding real-life vocations, and work environments.
